The inside of the microwave can be a hard place to clean. We’ve all experienced the wrath of melted cheese that has long since hardened to the glass tray. Most of us (myself included) have left the microwave running too long, only to hear the sound of an food item bursting inside. The remnants of beans, soup, tomatoes, etc are left as reminders that we need to periodically clean this appliance. The trick here is to soften the hard stuff enough that it will easily wipe off. To do this fill a glass container with 50% vinegar and 50% water. Put this inside the microwave and heat until it steams up. This will soften any stubborn buildup. Wipe clean.
